Police Release Image Of York Bike Theft Suspect

York police are investigating after an expensive mountain bike was stolen in the city centre.

The black and white Chris Boardman cycle, worth £1,000, was taken from outside McDonald’s on Blake Street at around 3.30am on Thursday 25 July 2013, say police.

After reviewing CCTV footage in the area, officers have identified a suspect and are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Tom Copeland or York police.
