York Woman Flashed While Jogging in Heslington

York police are appealing for witnesses after a man exposed himself to a jogger in Heslington.

At around 6pm on Monday 30 September 2013, a 28-year-old local woman was out running along a track alongside Common Lane, when a man passed her at speed on a BMX bicycle before stopping further along the track.

As the woman approached him, she could see that he was exposing himself.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has been approached in similar circumstances to contact them with information.

The man is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, aged in his late teens or early 20s, around 5ft 8in – to 5ft 10in tall, with a slim build, bushy eyebrows and dark wavy hair.

He was wearing a baggy multicoloured jumper with a diamond pattern on the front and black trousers.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Lee Wilson or York police.
