City Of York Council Has To Find £1.3 million For Next Year's Tour de France.

City of York Council has got to find £1.3 million to put on next year's Tour de France.

It will cost £1.6 million pounds to put on the event, of which the government's already put in £291 thousand.

But Sally Burns from the city council says it is worth it, as the economic benefits will be huge.

The route through the city will be announced on the 23rd October 2013
