Selby police have released images of a suspect they need to trace after an incident of shoplifting near the town.
The theft occurred at the Co-op store, Finkle Hill, Sherburn-in-Elmet, on Monday 5 August 2013, when bottles of spirits were stolen.
It is believed that the man stole Jack Daniels whiskey, Smirnoff vodka and Bacardi, valued at approximately £150.
The suspect is described as being a white man in his late twenties or early thirties, over 6ft tall, with a medium build and short brown hair. At the time he was wearing a maroon jacket, green and white striped polo shirt, light jeans and grey trainers.
PC Nicola Gill, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you recognise the man caught on CCTV, I ask that you contact the police straight away.
“I am also keen to speak to the man himself. It is possible that he is not responsible for this theft. If this is the case, I urge him to come forward as soon as possible so that he can be eliminated from my enquiries.”
Anyone who can help with this investigation should contact Selby police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Nicola Gill. Alternatively, information can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
