Police Appeal For Witnesses After Fatal Crash In Selby

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Selby.

A 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after his off-road mini motorcycle collided with a DAF lorry, which was parked at the side of the road on Main Street, in Cliffe, at around 8.15pm on Tuesday 24 September 2013, say police.

Officers say the man’s family have been informed of his death, however he cannot be named at this time.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch as soon as possible.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Traffic Constable Iain Atkinson.
