Pubs In York Could Pay To Police Late Night Drinking

8:41am 16th September 2013

A charge on late night pubs in York could raise almost £287,000 if it's brought in from the beginning of April.

Views are being taken on the proposed charge of up to £85 a week, which it's hoped will pay for the costs of drunken trouble.

City of York Council would keep £82,000 a year while £204,000 would go to the police.
