Police Investigate Malton Quad Bike Theft
9:40am 10th September 2013
Malton police are appealing for witnesses and information after a commercial burglary in the town.
It happened between Sunday 1 September and Monday 2 September 2013, when thieves broke into a unit on York Road Business Park and stole four quad bikes, say police.
Officers add that one of the bikes has now been recovered. However, they say, a red Honda, registration number YJ07XAM, and two green Suzuki quad bikes are still missing.
PC Williams Knapp, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you saw any suspicious activity in the area of the York Road Business Park, or have been offered quad bikes for sale in strange circumstances, I urge you to contact the police straight away.
“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any unusual vehicles in the area and ask them to get in touch.”
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC Will Knapp or Malton police.
