Police in Selby are appealing for information after a man posing as a doctor called at an elderly woman's home and asked her questions of a sexual nature.

The man, who said his name was Dave and he was a replacement doctor from Beech Tree Surgery in Selby, managed to talk his way into the woman's bungalow on Kitchener Street at around 12pm on 5 August 2013, say police.

Officers have been making extensive enquiries to trace the man and are asking the public to come forward with information that could assist the investigation.
