More Than 7,000 Complaints About State of North Yorkshire's Roads

There have been 7,074 complaints about the state of North Yorkshire's roads in the last year.

Figures for 2012/13 are being examined by the county council today as the authority monitors its performance.

£17 million will be spent this year on repairing the damage caused to roads by flooding and the cold winter.

So far £8 million has already been spent with £9 million to be spent on roadworks over the rest of the year.
