Motorcyclist Dies in North Duffield Collision

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in North Duffield, near Selby.
It occurred just before 6.30pm on Thursday 8 August 2013, at the junction of Main Street and the A163.
The collision involved a green Kawasaki motorcycle, which was heading from the A19 towards Market Weighton and a blue BMW 520I, heading in the opposite direction.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 48-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
We are not yet in a position to release his identity.
At the time of the collision the man who died had been riding in company with a black Triumph Daytona motorcycle.
Neither the rider of the Triumph or the driver of the BMW were injured as a result of the collision.
Traffic Sergeant Pete Wood, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, said: “If you were in the North Duffield area at the time of the collision and saw either the BMW or the two motorcycles prior to the incident, I urge you to come forward as you may have vital information that could help my investigation.”
