Police Investigating 16 Year Old Boy Sex Assault in Beal Make Arrest

Selby police are appealing for information following a incident of sexual touching near the town.

It occurred at around 5.30pm on Saturday 20 July 2013, in a lay-by on Intake Lane, Beal.

The suspect touched the victim, a 16-year-old local boy, inappropriately. Although the boy was left shaken, he did not require medical treatment.

A 44-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault has now been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.

PC Stuart Henderson, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in the area at the time of the of the assault and witnessed any unusual behaviour, I urge you to come forward straight away as you may have vital information that could help my enquiry.”
