CCTV Released of Selby Teenage Assault Suspect

Selby police have released an image of a suspect following an assault in the town.

It occurred at Selby train station, at 7pm on Monday 29 July 2013, when a 17-year-old local youth was punched in the face as he walked past the suspect.

As a result of the incident the victim suffered bruising and a cut lip.

The man officers would like to speak to is described as white, with a medium build and short grey hair. At the time he was wearing a grey t-shirt, blue shorts and dark shoes.

PC Dean Turner, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you are the man pictured and you are not responsible for this assault, I urge you to come forward so that I can eliminate you from my investigation.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault or recognises the man caught on camera. I urge them to come forward and contact the police straight away.”
