Calls For Safety Meeting - Over North Yorkshire's A64
9:12am 19th July 2013
Malton and Thirsk's MP is holding another meeting to push for road safety measures for villages along the A64.
Anne McIntosh is due to see representatives of the Highways Agency tonight.
It's as people in Ganton, Heslerton, Rillington and Staxton say traffic needs to slow down through their villages.
Anne McIntosh says: “Road safety along the A64 is an absolute priority for those living along its route.
“I am delighted that Mr Francis Carlyle, Asset Development Manager and Mr Antony Firth, Asset Development Team Leader South from the Highways Agency have accepted my invitation to set out exactly where we are with measures to improve road safety, reduce congestion and promote economic growth along the route of the A64.”
