Witness Appeal After Great Ouseburn Collision

Police investigating a serious road traffic collision at Great Ouseburn are appealing for witness to come forward.
The collision involving a blue Kawasaki motorcycle and a sliver Dodge car occurred on the B6265 at the junction with Broad Gate at around 5pm on 12 July 2013.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old local man, suffered abdominal injuries in the incident and was taken to York District Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Dodge was uninjured.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them with information.
In particular the driver of a bus which turned right on to Broad Gate is urged to make contact as he may have information crucial to the investigation.
The motorcycle was travelling towards Green Hammerton at the time of the collision.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask Traffic Constable Steve James or Harrogate Roads Policing Group.
