TOUR DE YORKSHIRE 2017
Minster FM and our partners, York Sport and Web adventure are pleased to announce that to celebrate the Tour de Yorkshire women’s race and stage 2 men’s race in Tadcaster, the town will be celebrating in style with a BIG Cycle Festival Saturday 29th of April from 8am 5pm.
You can bring all your family and friends down to see the Tour de Yorkshire as it starts at the towns famous Bridge and rides straight through the town.
There will be live music all day from the Minster FM Roadshow Stage plus a number of events and activities will be held across the town for you to come and enjoy.
Minster FM will be hosting a live Roadshow with a selection of live music and entertainment from local acts. This festival will be based on St Josephs Street complete with a big TV screen showing coverage of the Tour De Yorkshire plus a variety of food and interactive stalls & street entertainers.
Plus you can watch World Champion Trial Biker Jack Carthy doing his demonstrations on the day and live commemorative Tour De Yorkshire street art created by Graffiti artist Sledone on behalf of the Paintsmiths Bristol.
The event will begin with the Yorkshire Regiment Drumming Corps marching through the town; this is especially poignant as the Yorkshire Regiment formed part of the clear up team following the 2015 flood. Shortly after the bells of St Mary’s church will ring out and the women will start their race at 0910.
