Flamingo Land Resort is situated between York and the East coast, and this combined theme park, zoo and holiday resort is an ideal destination for a fun-packed family holiday.
Through the winter months, the theme park is closed, but the zoo remains open.
Newest Attractions at Flamingo Land
Flamingo 1
You can now enjoy driving 2 seater family racing cars over a 380-metre circut. Featuring a figure-of-eight format, you and your fellow competitors can enjoy side-by-side racing over three individual lanes. Whilst the majority of the circuit is outdoors, it also passes through Flamingo Land's Hub building where spectators can watch the action from a dedicated elevated viewing area, whilst enjoying champion fish and chips.
Peter Rabbit
Hit Cbeebies animated series Peter Rabbit has arrived at Flamingo Land with a Peter Rabbit Adventure playground. Explore the Secret Tree House and hop along to Jeremy Fisher's musical pond to explore giant instruments and learn about sounds from the giant lily pads. We are sure fans of all ages will love exploring Lily Bobtail’s Nature Discovery where you can climb on tunnels and find creepy crawly creatures in Bug Log.
You can meet Peter Rabbit himself, located by the Mansion House & Tea Rooms at 12.30pm and 3pm. You can also see Benjamin Bunny in the Sail Away farewell show at the exit of theme park at 5pm (weather permitting). Plus, brand new for 2018, you can listen to a Peter Rabbit and Lily Bobtail Story Time (£5 Per Person).
The two-storey Hub entertainment complex opened last year and features the Upper Deck fish & chip restaurant with adjacent HMS Bouncy soft play area and takeaway counter. This leads onto an outdoor balcony where you can enjoy your refreshments whilst admiring the view of roller coasters and the Splosh water area.
You can also create your own best friend at Teddy Mountain, where after selecting your chosen bear, you can add stuffing to it yourself, add a scent and sound and select its outfit.
Last August, Flamingo Land's female Sumatran tiger cub was born, so keep an out for her in their award winning animal collection. Flamingo Land's rainbow lorikeet walk in aviary is also proving popular, where you can buy a pot of nectar to feed these brightly coloured birds.
Thrilling Theme Park & Award Winning Zoo
If you are looking for white knuckle thrills, there is a sensational collection of 8 extreme rides, including the latest roller coaster Hero that puts visitors in a superhero flying position before swooping them around a track. There is also the Guinness World Record Breaking Mumbo Jumbo, with the steepest drop (2009).
In addition there is a great choice of junior and family rides. All the attractions in Dino-Stone Park have a dinosaur theme. Soar 45 metres into the air on the Pterodactyl swing, spin on the family coaster Twistosaurus and pedal on Cyclosaur. See animatronic dinosaurs, life-size Dino skeletons and search for dinosaur bones in the Dino Dig sand.
Be amazed at Flamingo Land's daily Pirates of Zanzibar outdoor show on the Black Heart galleon ship, with singing, dancingm special effects and acrobatics!
Flamingo Land is one of the UK’s most visited Zoos (Source: Visit England). With over 140 species of reptiles, mammals and birds, you can enjoy an amazing view of the animal kingdom. A variety of animal feeding times with Keeper Talks and a sea lion show are included within your admission. For unrestricted views, meander through the lemur, wallaby and rainbow lorikeet walkways.
The Mansion House
The Mansion House & Tea Rooms was renovated a couple of years ago and allows guests to step back in time and enjoy traditional English refreshments, lovingly served in elegant surroundings. Evening dining is also available on selected dates for non-residents and resort guests and is also available to hire for parties and corporate events.
Flamingo Land have recently been granted a licence for civil wedding ceremonies in the Mansion House, which is also situated adjacent to the local village church. A wedding could also incorporate animal interaction, such as a lemur experience or being married on the wooden decking located within the zoo. Christenings and private parties are also welcome.
Short Breaks and a Campsite
Flamingo Land is an ideal base for a short break or longer holiday, located at the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The Flamingo Land Holiday Village is situated right next to the theme park, and offers luxury accommodation from holiday homes to premium lodges. And for guests who want to be at the heart of the action, 4 newly refurbished self-catering cottages are now available. Featuring 2 and 3 bedroom options with hot tubs, you will find these Riverside Cottages conveniently located alongside Riverside One. There is also the premium cottage, The Gate House, available for hire, which is within the local village Kirby Misperton.
Alternatively, you can bring your own touring caravan, motorhome or tent, or buy your own holiday home. Staying guests have exclusive use of the swimming pool with flume slides and water jets, plus newly refurbished leisure facilities including a new gym, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and cafe. There is also a 9 hole golf course. The Club is a premium entertainment venue for Holiday Village guests.
