Lady living in Beverley with Cerebral Palsy requires Personal Assistants to support her within her own home. There is a cat living in the property.
Hours of work are as follows:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. 9pm-10pm to support the lady to get ready for bed.
Alternate Sundays 7am-8am to support the lady to get up and dressed providing some personal care. Also, 9pm-10pm to support the lady to get ready for bed.
Week One: 5 hours per week available. Week Two: 3 hours per week available.
Please make it clear on the application form if you are able to do all of the hours or some of the hours as job share will be considered.
Hours of work may vary to meet the lady’s needs but you will be given as much notice as possible. There will be the opportunity for extra hours to cover holidays/sickness for the other PA’s.
Suitable candidate should be honest, trustworthy and reliable. Rate of pay is £9.30 per hour.
A genuine occupational requirement for a female worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post – Cost to be met by the local authority.

The Direct Payments Support Service is an in house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The services aim is to put people first by promoting independent choice and inclusion in the East Riding, giving people money to buy their own care and support as an alternative to having support arranged by the local authority. Direct payments can be used to employ and recruit a support worker/personal assistant/carer and are used by individuals with varying abilities, ranging from physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health issues. The Direct Payment Support Service provides advice and guidance to employers and assists with their recruitment. The advertised posts are placed by The Direct Payments Support Service on behalf of our service users and remain independent from the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
