An exciting proposition from the all youth cast of Flying Ducks Youth Theatre, presenting Peter Pan the Musical. All the magic of the original story for children are enchantingly brought to life in this production of the timeless classic for all the family. You can join Peter Pan, Wendy, John and Michael in the absolute adventure for every child who never wants to grow up and for every parent who wishes they never will.
J.M. Barrie’s masterful story shines brightly with a rich score that includes songs “Come Away, Come Away,” and “Don’t say Goodbye”.” A delightful musical featuring singing pirates, daring swordfights, fantastical make-believe. Peter Pan is a story that is filled with magic, delight, and just a fairy dusting of heartbreak.

York Art Gallery presents the first monographic exhibition of York born artist Albert Joseph Moore since the artist’s death in 1893.
Featuring more than 20 paintings and watercolours, it will highlight the beautiful and classical women for which the artist is most famous and demonstrate the modernity of Moore’s approach.
Albert Moore was one of the leading artists of the Aesthetic movement who prioritised mood, colour harmony and beauty of form over subject matter to create ‘art for art’s sake’. The exhibition will explore Albert Moore’s career and body of work using the latest research into his work by leading experts. It will include examples of Moore's youthful Pre-Raphaelite works as well as the hauntingly beautiful classical figures of his mature style.
Organised by York Museums Trust and Museum De Buitenplaats, in Eelde, Netherlands, the exhibition features the stunning and ambitious ‘Midsummer’, 1887, from the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery, Bournemouth alongside other key works from public and private collections across the UK.
The exhibition will run at the Museum De Buitenplaats from 10 December 2016 – 19 March 2017 before coming to York.

Cara’s haunting voice entices and captures. Her raw vocals are layered with beautiful harmonies and simple structures, with a delicate, lingering effect. As a keen traveler, the wild outdoors inspires much of her work; capturing the essence of an environment and opening her mind to innovative sound. Her music is elemental, dark and ethereal, but with a distinct commercial edge. Cara’s compositions have the ability to draw the audience in close, inviting them to become part of the moment.
For this special evening, Cara will be accompanied by 3 incredibly talented musicians, Tom Townsend on percussion (and sound), Rowan Oliver on Viola and Cara’s good friend Francesca McDonald on Cello. The night promises to touch the soul and take you into another place.
