Halves is a weekly lunch club for those people who have lost their “other half”. Every Tuesday and the first Saturday of the Month, at noon, the group gather at the Ark Church for a light lunch and a chat. Most people hang around for about ninety minutes.
At Halves there is the opportunity to make friends and to get to know people who understand what it is like to lose someone.
New faces are always welcomed by the group, whatever their age
There is a real sense of community
The group is open to anyone

Askham Bryan College Gardening Club
The meeting of Askham Bryan College Gardening Club on Tuesday 20th March is an illustrated talk entitled "Veg My Way" given by David Metcalf from The National Vegetable Society. David will share his knowledge and expertise to ensure we grow perfect vegetables each and every time.
All are welcome.

Strensall Striders
We are a friendly social running club for all abilities. Whether you have never ran before but a looking to try or are a racing snake everyone will be made to feel very welcome. We meet in the pub and then call in for a drink afterwards and once a month a social meal. Trail Running Yorkshire
Trail Running Yorkshire (TRY). Explore, get fit and visit some of the best sights our beautiful county has to offer. Running does not have to be boring! Join the largest off road running community with Trail Running York. We meet every Weds at 6.30pm at a different location every week all within a 30 minute drive of York. Guided short and long runs are available and we cater for a wide range of abilities. All we ask is that you can run/walk 5k in a hour. Afterwards we have a drink in the local bar and often a meal too. All you have to do is TRY?

Latin Dance Classes
Come and learn Bachata with Bachata Sabor every Wednesday at Las Iguanas York!
Bachata is a Latin dance originating in the Dominican Republic and later developing in Europe. As a social dance, Bachata not too dissimilar to salsa. If you are interested in knowing more about the dance before joining us, I would recommend looking on youtube.
No partner? No problem! Never danced before? No problem! We cater for all abilities and lots of our students come by themselves.
The logistics are as follows:
Beginners class - 7:30-8:30
Intermediate - 8:45-9:45
Social dancing - 9:45 onwards
£5 for one class, £8 for two classes, student discounts and drinks deals are available
The night is always super relaxed with lots of lovely people around, so come and join us for a fabulous night of dancing!
