Mr Bloom drama

25th April 2017

Ben went to see Mr Bloom yesterday with Nicholas at the Grand Opera House. Mr bloom is clearly a hit with the ladies because Ben was doing the maths and reckons there were more adult females in the audience than kids which means there were a few which have come without the kids... Ellie and Cat had a google. Not so keen.

We had some more 'Oh Yeahs' today where we celebrate your little wins. There was no oh yeah for Mr Bloom but Ben brought some good news to the table. You can now train dogs to bring you toilet roll when you run out... Ellie buys in bulk so it's not an issue and Cat has a cat... it wasn't a winner.

Ben was fuming after going to see Mr Bloom and his Mum wanted to go for a coffee and then had promised Nicholas that he could show Ben a rolly polly. They only had a few minutes left on the car but Ben's Mum insisted and Nicholas was crying so Ben caved and watched the rolly polly. Out the corner of his eye he spotted his car and a traffic warden and you guessed it, £50 fine. Ben's Mum tried to comfort him and said you can't put a price on Nicholas' smile when he was doing that rolly polly and Ben pointed out York City Council did... £50.

GAME WHEEL at 7.30am.
This week you can win a three-course meal with a bottle of wine for four people at The Refectory Kitchen and Terrace at The Principal York.
Today was Cast List: Kate Winslet as Rose and Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack in Titanic. Trish was our winner and even said we could go with her to enjoy the meal as long as one of us drives...

Play Panic to win £25 if you can name 5 things related to the ‘Panic List’ from your chosen subject at 8.15am. If you panic, you will receive a panic button!
Andy tried to name five UK rail operators but despite being a fan of trains he could only name three.

You can win 2 tickets to the Vue every morning at 6.20 am with Screen Stars.
An inspirational performance from Ellie today on Tom Hanks weeks, 'And I know what I have to do now. I got to keep breathing. Because tomorrow, the sun will rise and who knows what the tide will bring?' from Castaway. John was our winner.

Fashion show drama

20th April 2017

More tales from Ellie's holiday this morning. Her parents had given an Easter Egg to open when she got back from her holiday and it was a larger egg than usual so Ellie was really looking forward to it. Her parents had felt hard done by when Ellie said she only ever got one small egg (which is fact) and Ellie thought they had felt guilty… she was wrong. Instead they had taken out the Easter Egg and chocolates and replaced it with one small Cream Egg. Brilliant.

Ellie hosted the St Leonard's Hospice Fashion Show at the Gateway Centre in Acomb last night and nearly caused a catastrophe when she opened a bottle of fizzy water which sprayed everywhere. In an attempt to save the models, Ellie turned away with the spray and managed to get some of the public. Massive apologies if anyone got wet!

Ben has had a car seat dilemma. He's bought a new one for Nicholas which is Batman themed but he loves it so much he wants it in the house at all times. Ben didn't know what to do, should he buy another one? Jess thought he should strap him in down stairs and then take him to the car. Ben went to Facebook to ask what to do and overwhelming the answer was buy a new one and then Bryony chipped in saying this car seat was cheap and not safe enough and Ben needed to stop being tight and get a better one. Jess saw that comment and that was settled, she trusted Bryony over Ben in an instant!

GAME WHEEL at 7.30am
This week you can win a family pass to Paulo's Circus at Roko York in May. Today the Game Wheel landed on Habla Espanol, 'Cuando Enrique conocio a Sally' which Katie correctly identified as When Harry Met Sally.

You can win 2 tickets to the Vue every morning at 6.20 am with Screen Stars. Today possibly the longest quote we've ever done from The Proposal, 'Three days ago, I loathed you. I used to dream about you getting hit by a cab. Then we had our little adventure up in Alaska and things started to changed. Things changed when we kissed. And when you told me about your tattoo. Even when you checked me out when we were naked. But I didn't realize any of this, until I was standing alone... in a barn... wifeless. Now, you could imagine my disappointment when it suddenly dawned on me that the woman I love is about to be kicked out of the country. So Margaret, marry me, because I'd like to date you'. Dave in Helmsley was our winner.

Play Panic to win £25 if you can name 5 things related to the ‘Panic List’ from your chosen subject at 8.15am. If you panic, you will receive a panic button!

This week we are doing Kids' Panic, where kids will play to win some Panic pocket money (£5) and a family ticket to see Dr Doolittle at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre.

Today Grace smashed Panic naming five frozen characters in about five seconds.

Tomorrow, it's Lie Detector Friday and it's Ben turn in the hot seat so if you have any questions send them in!
