If you are one drawn as one of the 5 couples who make it through to the final, you will be notified by telephone.

The winning couple will receive:

The Wedding Breakfast is a full three-course meal, including one starter, one main course and a dessert to be chosen from the following menu, allowing of course for any guests with special dietary requirements...

grange-pic6The Duty Manager will act as your toastmaster on the day. The room will be tastefully dressed with tea lights or candelabras.

The Grange will also provide cake stand and knife, table plan, menus and place cards.

The evening reception is included for our lucky couple for up to 80 guests. (Additional guests can be accommodated and charged accordingly). A selection of six items from the finger buffet selection will be provided, and the in-house disco is also included.

  1. 1. Promotion open to UK residents aged 18 or over who are a genuine couple and have an interest in marriage, excluding employees of the promoter, the service providers and their associated companies, their immediate families, agents and anyone professionally connected with the promotion. For the avoidance of doubt such couples may be single sex couples who have a genuine interest in civil partnership and in such circumstances references to 'Bride' and/or 'Groom' in these terms and conditions shall be construed accordingly.
  2. By entering this promotion, applicants agree to be bound by these conditions of entry (the "Specific Terms")and Minster FM’s "Competition General Terms and Conditions" http://www.minsterfm.com/legals.php
  3. Entries which are not in accordance with such terms and conditions will not be valid and the promoter reserves the right in its discretion, to disqualify such entries at any time during the promotion. Applicants found to be breaking such terms and conditions will be disqualified.
  4. By entering this promotion, you confirm your availability on the following dates: a. Registration on either Thursday 2nd February 2012 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm or Sunday 5th February from 11.00am to 2.00pm. b. "Winners Announcement" will be made on Tuesday 14th February 2012 between 12.00 and 12.30 pm at The Grange Hotel, 1 Clifton, York, North Yorkshire YO30 6AA.
  5. Entries will only be accepted in person at The Grange Hotel, 1 Clifton York, North Yorkshire YO30 6AA on either of the 2 registration days - as above. To apply a couple will complete and submit an application form at the registration event and be interviewed and photographed.
  6. Only one application per couple will be accepted.
  7. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  8. Following the closing date, all valid applications will be put into a draw and 5 finalists will be drawn by an independent party appointed by the promoter by Monday 6th February 2011.
  9. The 5 couples who make it through to the final will be notified by telephone by 6.00pm on Monday 6th February 2012 and must be available to attend the final on Tuesday 14th February 2012 – failure to do so will result in disqualification. Couples must make their own way to and from The Grange Hotel at which time the winning couple will be announced live on air. The winning couple will be drawn by an independent party appointed by the Promoter. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. All elements making up the wedding package are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. In the event that the winning couple decline an element of the wedding package, they will not be refunded for this element of the prize package.
  11. All those couples taking part in the final of Win a Wedding at The Grange Hotel may be required to participate in related publicity, including publication of the winning couple’s names and photographs.
  12. The winners can forfeit their prize at any time by writing to Laura Sledmore, Promotions Manager, Minster FM, PO Box 123, York, YO19 5ZX. Should the winners decline the prize they are not entitled to transfer or offer the prize to a third party or an alternative couple.
  13. This prize must not be used as any other function apart from a Wedding.
  14. The promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.
  15. The wedding date is subject to the hotel's availability and it should be on either a Friday or a Sunday between 1st March 2012 and 28th February 2013 excluding York race meetgrange-pic4ings and December 2012.
  16. Additional guests can be added to the wedding reception at the hotel's current prices.
  17. In the event of any cancellations due to any events beyond our control, including force majeure, an Act of God, fire or flood, the hotel will have no liability to the winning couple for any additional costs etc incurred.
  18. The terms and conditions of the hotel's usual Conference and Banqueting Agreement apply.
  19. It is the winning couple's responsibility to make all the necessary arrangements relating to Civil Ceremonies (Registrar) or Church service and associated costs. Please note The Grange Hotel is licensed to host Civil Ceremonies.
  20. The Programme Controllers decision is final.
