| John started out at Minster FM on a two-week work placement at the age of 15. Not really knowing what to expect, John turned up and made the tea which is usually the first job anyone gets when starting out in radio. During that fortnight, he made lots and lots more tea. Luckily he can make good tea which set him on a good road in to radio. After those 2 weeks John decided to get involved with hospital radio and get some experience in the hope he would be allowed back at Minster FM one day.

| Nearly ten years on, John was allowed back through the door and now helps out looking after all the technical gubbins (if Minster FM goes off air, it’s usually John’s fault) and he is also allowed on air when other presenters are away on holiday. Outside of radio you’ll find John polishing his two MGs which he exhibits at various shows around the country during the summer.
