David, or DG hosts our weekday afternoon show from 2pm each day. You can call him by his full name or choose just to use his initials, it really doesn't matter!

DG started his radio career at Minster FM when he arrived on work experience and never left. You can imagine what joy he was filled with when he first walked into Minster towers, not only was he going to get to play with lots of high tech equipment - like the kettle, in those days a day trip from Selby to York was something many boys his age could only dream of!

After finishing off his two week placement at Minster FM he carried on bothering the staff until one day they gave in and invited him back. This time he made some tea for Chris Marsden who now fronts our weekday breakfast show. Ironically, it was DG who in later times brought Chris back to Minster FM after he went AWOL for a number of years. In turn, Chris now makes the coffee.

We digress, after doing a bit of this and that around the station someone fell ill and despite trying everyone else in his little black book the boss at the time put DG in control of the radio station for a few hours, then he left and went off to discover the world in the mighty metropolis that is... Sunderland. After three days in the North East the boss found himself out of luck once again and DG returned. He then spent the next four years up and down the North Eastern side of the country working at radio stations in Sunderland, Durham, Hull, Bradford, Huddersfield, Newcastle and Minster FM while at the same time managing to walking away with a degree and subsequent masters in radio.

Yadda yadda yadda (sorry, we got a bit bored, if you want to know the exact ins and outs of DG's life just give him a call) - a few years on and DG's presented pretty much every show on the station... he also enjoys the ominous title of Programme Controller, so you could say, it's all his fault.

These days he's a bit more grown up than when he first joined Minster FM having two small children with the infamous Mrs DG and he doesn't put the kettle on half as much as he used to either. We're looking to change that.
