Police are planning to scale back their investigation into the disappearence of York chef Claudia Lawrence.

The 36 year old disappeared 16 months ago.

Originally there were over 100 officers working in the case, but next month that number will be cut to just 7.

Police say the decision to cut resources has "not been taken likely and the case is still open."

They say they will still chase up leads if fresh evidence comes to light.

Family friend, Martin Dales, spoke to Minster FM's Tracy Gee this morning.
