York Honours Queen's 60th Anniversary

A twenty-one gun salute is being held in York to mark the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation.

It's taking place at the Museum Gardens at noon.

The senior military host will be Brigadier Greville Bibby CBE, Commander 15 (North East ) Brigade, with the inspecting officer, The Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Julie Gunnell.

Providing the saluting troop will be 132 Bty (The Bengal Rocket Troop), 39th Regiment Royal Artillery (The Welsh Gunners).

The music and parade will be performed by the Heavy Cavalry & Cambrai Band.
