Man Dies in Collision on Selby Road in Camblesforth

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following a man died in a single vehicle collision near Selby.
It happened just after 6am this morning on Selby Road in Camblesforth. A silver Seat Leon, heading away from Selby, collided with a tree.
A 24-year-old local man suffered serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they cannot release his identity yet.
The road has been closed while officers examine the scene and is expected to reopen around midday.
Traffic Sergeant Neale Rees, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the Seat prior to the incident to contact the police straight away.”
