8:56am 20th May 2013
Campaigners against the HS2 rail line in Church Fenton are criticising how the government's dealt with homeowners.
People who'd see their home values lowered by the proposed new rail line had until the 29th April to put their case forward, but the deadline was then extended until today, leaving Andrew Mason from Church Fenton Against HS2 confused.
Supporters of the high speed rail line say it will boost the economy and bring fifty-thousand jobs to Yorkshire.
The company behind the high speed railway, HS2 Ltd say the new line will generate jobs and rebalance the country’s economy, acting as a catalyst for Britain’s future prosperity.
