Legal Challenge to Get York's Richard III Leicester Burial Overturned
6:48pm 1st May 2013
Papers have been put into the High Court, challenging the decision to bury King Richard III in Leicester.
Descendants of the former King are challenging the process which led to the decision for the remains to interred at Leicester Cathedral.
But if the call for a Judicial Review is granted, it means the decision would have to be re-examined.
However, this does not guarantee that Richard III would be laid to rest in the city, despite a high profile campaign by the city council and Richard III's descendants.
The King's family have previously said they want the bones laid to rest in York.
