Appeal For Information Following Balne Quad Bike Theft
9:28am 30th April 2013
Selby police are appealing for the public’s help following the theft of quad bikes near the town.
Police say they were stolen between 8pm on Saturday 27 April and 6.30am on Sunday 28 April 2013, from a farm near Balne.
Officers describe the stolen quad bikes as a red Honda 350, a green Kawasaki 350 and a red and grey Massey Ferguson.
Both the Kawasaki and Massey Ferguson have pest control devices attached, say officers.
The value of the stolen bikes and equipment is around £15,000, say police.
DC Lee Maeer, of Selby CID, said: “If you witnessed any suspicious activity in the Balne area around the time of the theft I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away.
“I also need to speak to anyone who has seen the quad bikes or pest control equipment since they were stolen, or may have been offered them for sale, and ask that they get in touch.”
Anyone who can assist with this investigation is asked to contact Selby CID on 101, select option 2 and ask for Lee Maeer. Alternatively information can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12130067330.
