People in Thirsk and Easingwold Urged to Register to Vote

A call for voters has gone out across Hambleton.

Anyone still needing to register to vote - or needing to apply for a postal vote - for the May 2 local elections only have a few days left to do it in.

Applications to register must be submitted by Wednesday April 17 with a 5pm deadline on the same date for postal vote applications to make sure it is in place for May 2.

The same date applies to voters, or their proxies, wanting to make changes to existing arrangements for this election - to have ballot papers sent to a different address.  

New proxy vote application forms can be received until 5pm on Wednesday 24 April.

May 2 sees  North Yorkshire County Council elections across Hambleton for the eleven electoral divisions, and a by election for Hambleton’s Whitestonecliffe District Ward.
