NHS Protest in York
7:00am 6th April 2013
A demonstration is taking place in York today about changes to the NHS.
The group "Defend our NHS - York" is protesting about major changes to the service it says have no mandate.
They argue that the rise in the amount of income NHS hospitals can make from private care from 2 to 49 percent will lead to longer waiting lists.
The protest is taking place at noon in Dean's Park and then will march to St Sampson's Square before holding an hour long rally.
