Police in Market Weighton Investigate Allotment Thefts

Humberside Police are investigating alleged damage and thefts at allotments on Holme Road in Market Weighton.

Humberside Police say that sometime during Tuesday 12 March 2013 an unknown person has approached a set of allotments on Holme Road in Market Weighton.

Police report that some damage has been caused to wire and fencing before an unknown person gained entry to the allotment and is alleged to have killed a cockerel and stolen three light Sussex chickens.

On Tuesday 19 March the same thing happened again, say police, when a person gained entry to the same plot and stole three road island red hens and a light Sussex chicken.

Anyone who may have information in connection with the incident is asked to call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting crime reference 1963744.
