More Concerns Over Potash Plans Near Pickering
7:45am 19th March 2013
It appears there could be more problems with the proposed potash mine near Pickering
We told you last week the Ministry of Defence at nearby RAF Fylingdales has lodged an objection saying they are concerned worried drilling could affect their radar equipment.
York Potash has now given them more information in response to their worries.
But the North York Moors National Park Authority, which is consulting on the plans for two mining shafts near Sneaton, says other bodies have also expressed worries.
These include the Environment Agency and Natural England, who also want more information.
Sirius Minerals, the company behind the plans for York Potash, insisted last week their operations would not affect the MoD.
