Thirsk Man Who Died in A19 Collision Named

Police have named a man who died in a collision on the A19 near to the junction for Over Silton, near Northallerton at 1.20am on Tuesday 19 February 2013.

He was Roy Mackenzie, who was 35 and from Thirsk.

He was taken to James Cook University Hospital after the collision where he was sadly pronounced dead later on Tuesday.

The inquest into his death was opened and adjourned at 11.45am on Friday 22 February 2013, in Northallerton.

Traffic Sergeant Richard Parsons, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, said: “I am asking for anyone who was on this stretch of the A19 around the time of the collision to come forward and contact the police if they have not already done so.”
