More than 7,000 Views of North Yorkshire Police Commissioner's Crime Plan

The Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire, Julia Mulligan, published her draft plan on Monday 4 February, which started a six week consultation period with the public until 18 March.
Since the launch of the draft plan, there have been over 7000 views on the www.crimeplan.org.uk website.
- 70% of people think that Julia’s 6 main goals are about right
- ‘Reducing Harm’ and ‘Putting People First’ are ranked as the top priority for 77% of respondents
- Only 28% of people think confidence in North Yorkshire Police does not need to be improved
- The majority of respondents want an increased use of restorative justice
Julia Mulligan said, “It is clear that local people have very strong views about crime in their communities. This feedback is crucial to a successful plan for North Yorkshire, and whether you agree with me or not, please let me know.”
