Thirsk police are appealing for information after two burglaries in Topcliffe.

The first occurred between 10am on Saturday 9 February and 4pm on Monday 11 February 2013, from a house on Back Lane. The thieves stole a jar of change, costume jewellery and wristwatches.

The second burglary took place between 9.40am and 11.45am on Monday 11 February 2013, at a house on Long Street.

PC Quita Passmore, of the local Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am asking anyone who has any information about the burglaries to come forward and contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.

“I am particularly keen to speak to people who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the village around the times of the burglaries and ask them to get in touch.”

Anyone who can assist with this investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Quita Passmore. Alternatively information can be emailed to quita.passmore@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12130023328.
