Police Investigating Full Sutton Murder Make Arrest

breaking news

11:11am 12th February 2013

Detectives working on a murder investigation after the discovery of a man’s body at Whisker Cottage, Full Sutton last Thursday have arrested a 26 year old man in connection with the offence.

Police are still working to identify the man who's believed to be in his 50s, and have been investigating the possibility that it is the 56 year old owner of the house.

Detective Chief Inspector Alistair McFarlane said:

“We have one man in custody in connection with the investigation of this murder and our enquiries are still very much ongoing.

“I repeat our appeal to the public to help us determine movements around Whisker Cottage between the end of December 2012 and Thursday 7 February when discovery of the man’s body was made.

“I would also state again our interest around the resident of Whisker Cottage being an antiques dealer, and that this may be a significant factor in relation to the murder”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on the non emergency number 101 quoting log number 492 of 7 February 2013, or directly to the Incident Room on 01377 208989. Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
