Search for Missing Helmsley Woman Barbara Colling Now in 11th Day

Police officers are continuing their efforts to locate missing woman, Barbara Colling, who has not been seen for 11 days.
Barbara’s daughter and son along with Park Rangers from the North York Moors National Park are also assisting with the searches, which remain focused in the Newgate woods, Buxton woods, Birch woods and Laskill House areas near the town.
Barbara was last seen walking along the B1257 near Abbotts Hag at around 9.30am on Monday 28 January 2013.
She is described as white, 5ft 2in tall, with a medium build and medium length blonde hair. When Barbara was last seen she was wearing a navy blue jacket, blue trousers, a black woollen hat with ear flaps and black boots. It is thought Barbara was carrying a black rucksack.
Inspector Andy Everitt, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the search for Barbara. Their efforts are greatly appreciated.
“I ask that people remain vigilant and contact the police if they can assist to find Barbara, including checking barns and outbuildings in case she has taken shelter from the weather.”
Anyone who can help locate Barbara Colling is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police immediately by dialling 101, selecting option 1 and passing the information to the Force Control Room.
