Malton police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen during a two-in-one burglary.

A black Land Rover Discovery 3 was taken sometime overnight between Sunday 3 February and Monday 4 February 2013 when thieves broke into a property on Chapel Road in Settrington.

The suspects broke into the house through a rear window and, after stealing the keys, took the Land Rover from the driveway.

The registration plate of the vehicle is B8 JDL

Officers are appealing to anyone with any information about the burglary to come forward.

PC Andy Rogers, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Settrington area around the time of the incident to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who knows where the Land Rover is now, or has any other information that can assist the investigation.”

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Andy Rogers or Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team.

If you wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111.
