1:49pm 18th January 2013
Richer men live 10 years longer than poorer men in York.
That's the findings of City of York Council's Health and Wellbeing Board.
They've been holding a meeting today to look at ways to close the gap and help men in poorer areas of the city to live longer.
Councillor Tracey Simpson-Laing says that prevention is the way forward. She says: "Its about smoking, drugs, obesity, alcohol and general fitness. Its about helping people to live longer healthier lives".
