As ninty-three million pounds has to be saved by North Yorkshire Council, people in Selby are being asked for their views.

A meeting's being held tonight for people to help the council make it's difficult decisions about where the cuts should fall.

The amount which has to be saved has increased from sixty-nine million pounds because of the council tax freeze and cuts to government grants.

Gary Fielding from the county council says a lot of people don't always see what the authority does unless it affects them.

The meeting's taking place at Selby Library tonight at 6.30.
