No New Finds by Police Divers Searching for Chris Baker in York

police underwater search

3:37pm 14th January 2013

Police divers searching for missing Chris Baker have failed to find anything during searches of the River Ouse in York today.

North Yorkshire Police told Minster FM officers found "nothing significant" and it was not clear when searches would begin again.

Chris was last seen jumping over the wall at Skeldergate Bridge into Tower Gardens at around 7.15am on Thursday 20 December 2012, after he had abandoned his car in the middle of the road.

Officers have been searching for Chris ever since but the high river levels have hampered the search until now.

York police are still appealing to anyone who can help the investigation into Chris’ disappearance to contact them on 101 – select option 2 – and pass information to the Force Control Room.
