Police Launch Murder Investigation After Man Found Dead in Snaith

Detectives in East Yorkshire have launched a murder inquiry after the suspicious death of 27-year-old Dale Partington from Snaith, who was found dead outside an address on St. Lawrence Avenue in the town.
Humberside Police was called by the ambulance service at 8.02am on Sunday 16 December 2012 after a man in his 20’s was found dead.
Three people have been arrested for murder; a 37-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman all from the Snaith area.
A post mortem which took place last night confirmed Dale received stab wounds to the body.
The St. Lawrence Avenue address and a further address on Chestnut Close, Snaith have been cordoned off and forensic inquiries are on-going at the locations.
The incident is being investigated by a team of detectives based at the Major Incident Room in Driffield, led by Detective Chief Inspector Matt Hutchinson.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Matt Hutchinson said: “My thoughts are with the family of Dale Partington at this terribly sad time and specially trained officers are with his family, offering support, during this difficult time.
“We have arrested three people for murder but we have a lot more enquiries to do in order to establish Dale’s whereabouts and what happened to him leading to his body being discovered and I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact us”.
Anyone who has any information which they believe would assist the police in this investigation or where in and around the Market Place and St Lawrence Avenue areas of Snaith during the late evening and early hours of Saturday / Sunday 15/12/2012 - 16/12/2012 are asked to contact Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 197 16/12/2012.
