Humberside Police Investigate Suspicious Death in Snaith

Detectives in Goole are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found outside an address on St. Lawrence Avenue, Snaith, Goole.
Humberside Police was called by the ambulance service at 8.02am on Sunday 16 December 2012 reporting a man in his 20’s had been found dead outside of an address on St. Lawrence Avenue, Snaith, Goole.
The man hasn't been identified yet, but is believed to be a local man and details of a post mortem are expected to be released today.
The scene of where the body was found has been cordoned off and forensic inquiries are taking place there.
A 37-year old local man has been arrested in connection with this death and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Meanwhile anyone who has any information which they believe would assist the police in this investigation or where in and around the Market Place and St Lawrence Avenue areas of Snaith during the late evening and early hours of Saturday / Sunday 15/12/2012 - 16/12/2012 are asked to contact Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 197 16/12/2012.
Deputy Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Paul Dixon said: “We have arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with this incident but we have a lot more enquiries to do in order to establish the victims whereabouts and what happened to him leading to his body being discovered and I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact us.”.
