Domestic Violence In North Yorkshire Over Christmas

6:01am 29th December 2012

Domestic violence incidents in North Yorkshire often increase over Christmas.

That's what Safer York is saying and they're offering help to those suffering from Domestic Abuse this winter.

They say that drinking less over Christmas could help.

It's as they highlight the services that will be on offer over the festive period, such as counselling and advice.

They say that drinking, spending more time together and getting into debt can all fuel arguments...

Councillor Daffyd Williams from the Safer York Partnership says people spend more time together during the festive season which can lead to an increase in incidents.

You can find out more at http://www.saferyork.org.uk/domestic-abuse-surgery.html or call (01904) 669069.
