VIDEO: Investigation Begins After York House Fire on Tadcaster Road
7:07pm 11th December 2012
An investigation has begun into what caused a fire at a house in York this afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the detached house on Tadcaster Road at 12:46pm, at one point six engines had been called out to deal with the fire.
Crews are now checking to make sure they've put out all of the fire, which started in the loft.
Their job fighting the fire was made harder as the house is being renovated and the staircase had been removed.
The builders who were working in the house at the time all got out safely.
Ian Hill from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue tells us it's too early to say what caused the fire.
