East Riding Pensioner Left Housebound After Mobility Scooter Stolen

Humberside Police

1:40pm 10th December 2012

A 72 year old woman has been left housebound after her mobility scooter was stolen.

Between 9.30pm on 4th December and 5.45am on 5th December a red "Celebrity Pride" mobility scooter, valued at £2,000 was stolen from outside an address on High Street, East Cowick.

It bears the serial number SC9252100 and, at the time of the theft, had a basket on the front and a yellow high visibility tabard on the seat.

Sergeant Pete Rogers from Humberside Police said "This is a particularly despicable crime that has left the 72 year old owner without a means of mobility to and from her home, and we would ask anyone with information to contact Humberside Police on 101, quoting Crime Report number  CJ/1945694/2012 ."
