Bats, Trees and Flood Risks Cause York Care Home Move

Bats, trees and flood risks have led to a planned new care home in Fulford to be moved somewhere else.

City of York Council was planning to build a 55 bed home on at Fordlands in the town but environmental reasons made it too costly to go ahead.

But it's hoped a bigger 72 bed care home could be built on land between Burnholme Community College and St Aelred's School.
