Yorkshire Olympian Opens Skylark Centre

Yorkshire’s Olympic history-maker, Nicola Adams, has been meeting school children today at the opening of the Skylark Centre at Drax Nature Reserve, near Selby. 


The Leeds-born winner of Britain’s first-ever Olympic Women’s Boxing Gold medal at London 2012 officially unveils the new education and study centre, which is situated in the reserve alongside Drax Power Station.


Nicola met over 50 pupils from Drax Primary School to share her Olympic experience and sign specially created gold medals to commemorate the event.
