North Yorkshire's Horse Racing Community Urged to be Vigilent

12:53pm 23rd October 2012
Detectives in North Yorkshire are continuing to investigate what is believed to have been a plan to steal or rob from members of the horse racing community.
North Yorkshire Police say three men who were arrested last week as part of the investigation have now been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are continuing to carry patrols in the areas used by members of the racing industry. We are also asking people to remain vigilant and to contact the police straight away if they see any suspicious behaviour.”
Anyone with information about suspicious activity is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101. They add that information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, and say you should always dial 999 in an emergency.
